Homolgous Each of the four chromosomes from the male parent has a corresponding chromosome from the female parent.
Stomatic Regulates activites that are under conscious control.
Meiosis Process by which the number of chromosomes per cell is cut in half through the separation of homologous chromosomes in a diploid cell.
Spores Single-celled reproductive bodies highly resistant to cold and heat damage; capable of new organisms.
Crossing Over Process in which homologous chromosomes exchange portions of their chromatids during meiosis.
Polar Bodies Cells produced in females that do not participate in reproduction.
Conjugation The process in which a unicellular organism transfers some of its genetic material to another unicellular organism
Altenation of Generations Life cycle that includes sexual and asexual forms.
