Menswear

Frock Coat

Single or double-breasted jacket with skirts joined at the waistline

Cutaway/Morning Jacket

Single-breasted formal daywear coat with tails that are 'cut away' on a slanting line from the waist in front to the rear

Sack Suit

Single or double-breasted informal business suit with a loose fitting jacket. Forerunner of today's business suit: made of wool, flannel tweed or other fabrics

Tailcoat

Formal evening jacket with a shaped upper part and a seam at the waistline from which tails extend in back to the break in the knees. Front of tailcoat does not close.

Tuxedo

Sack cut jacket that was generally single-breasted. Comes in two styles: 1) shawl collar 2) peaked lapels
