| Star dune | Dune with a star shape, formed by wind that blows in from many directions |
| transverse dune | dunes formed perpendicular to wind direction, very steep slip face (look almost like lines) |
| Barchan dune | dunes with a parabolic shape with horns that extend in the same direction as the wind |
| longitudinal dune | Dunes that are straight lines that are parallel to wind direction |
| Kame | mound of till that accumulates in a depression on a retreating glacier, and is then deposited on the land surface with further melting of the glacier. |
| ephemeral stream | stream that is created as a result of increased rain, isn't permenant |
