"Harlem Night Song" - poem about boy and his girlfriend walking in Harlem - moon, blue sky, stars - love rises above the gritty streets of Harlem
"The Term" - artificial objects like a piece of paper will live if a car passes over it, but a man in the same situation would die - theme: life is very fragile
