The Sun's Structure
The sun is made up of three different layers; the Core which is made up of helium, the Radiation Zone which is where the Sun's energy travels through, and the Convection Zone is the top layer of the sun where the hot gasses from the sun's inside rise.
The Sun's Atmosphere
The sun's atmosphere is also made up of three layers. The Photosphere is the inner layer of the sun's atmosphere and gives of the visible light. The Chromosphere is the part of the atmosphere that the moon blocks during a total solar eclipse. And finally there is the Corona. During a total solar eclipse it looks like a white halo around the sun.
Features of the Sun; sunspots, prominences, and solar flares.
Sunspots are are dark looking "pits" in the sun. They are actually pools of gasses that are cooler than the gasses around them. Prominences are big loops of gas that shoot of of the sun but stay connected because of it's gravitational pull. Solar flares are very hot gasses that shoot out into space.

-Earth's surface is made up of 70% water which is very unique. It also has all three forms of water: vapor, liquid, and solid.
-Atmosphere has multiple layers which are 20% oxygen. Most of the rest is Nitrogen.
-Earth's atmoshere is 20% oxygen
-Earth is 2 times Mars' size
-Iron dust on surface makes it red, No liquid water but there is frozen water at the polar ice caps and there may be frozen water inside.
-There are seasons because of axis
-Atmosphere is 95% Carbon Dioxide and it is so thin the you could walk around if you had oxygen.
-Ice caps shrink and grow depending on seasons.

-Surface is not dense and is made of gas

Rocky Inner Planets and Gassy Outer Planets
Inner planets are rocky because they are so close to the sun that is they were gassy their surfaces would be too melty. Outer planets are father away leading them to be colder and gassy.
Life on a Planet
To support life a planet must have the correct density in order to not crush the life, water, an atmosphere, a rocky surface, and oxygen.
What Planets have life?
