| Daedalus and Icarus | Dadalus was first engineer. Created wooden cow wherein Minos's Queen Pasiphae satisfied her desire for a bull. The half bull half man minotoar was kept in the laryrinth. Minos sacraficed 12 Athnians yearly to the monster. Theseus killed it. Daedalus and Icarus were imprisioned. Flew out using wax wings. Icarus flew by the son and was killed when the wings melted. Daedalus was an inventor. |

| Sisyphys | Did wrong on Earth. Sent to Tatarus and was forced to roll a stone up a hill only to have it eternally roll back down. |
| Pegasus and Belleronphon | Hero of Cornith. Rejected advances of Queen Antea and was accused of seducing her. Sent to To Iobates to be put to death. Belleronphon was sent to slay Chimaera teh monster but was assisted by Athena. Caught the winged horse Pegasus who arose form Medusa's blood. They killed Chimaera. Later, they tried to ascend to the heavens but Belleronphon fell off. Pegasus became a constilation as she asscended. |
| Cupid and Psyche | Psyche was a mortal loved by cupid. She promised him never to try and find out his identity by lighting a candle at night to see his face (he only visited at night). He left her. She searched the Earth for him and was reunited. She was made immortal and now symbolises the human soul. |
| Narcissus | Beautiful youth who spurned the love of others and became enamoured with his own reflection in a pool. As he tried to embrace his image, he drowned. narcissism means expressive self love. |
| Tantalus | Son of Zeus and an oceanid. King of Lydia. Punished in Hades for stealing the dogs of Zues, Giving Ambrosia and nectar to men and killling his son and serving him as a meal to the gods. He was made to stand in chin deep water in hades with fruit overhead. Whenever he tried to eat or drink the fruit would rise or the water would receede. Tantalize comes from this. |
| Pyramus and Thisbe | Lovers who did not have parent approval. Agreed to tryst in an outlying district. Thisbe was attacked by a lion and as she fled dropped her scarf. The lion bloodied her scarf with his mouth as he had just eaten an animal. Pyramus arrived and saw the scarf and killed himself. Thisbe returned and saw his body and killed herself. |
| Orpheus and Eurydice | Master Musician and Lyre player son of Apollo and calliope. Able to tame wild beasts and reconcile contending parties. Wife Eurydice was killed by a snake. Orpheus went into Hades to convince the king of the dead to allow her to go back with him and live. Hades consented on the condition that he not look at her during the ascent. Orpheus violated the condition and she fell back into hades as he looked at her in the light. Orpheus was disembered by the Furies and ascended into the heavens as a god. his lyre becoming teh constellation Lyra. |
