civic virtue notion that democracy depended on unselfish commitment to the public good
collective good a good or service that, by its very nature, cannot be denied to anyone who wants to consume it

trade association nonprofit organization that promotes the interests of a particular industry
transactions theory The theory that public policies are the result of narrowly defined exchanges among political actors.
