BusA bus network is the simplest topology. All of the computers are linked together on one cable called a backbone. The is sent to the address of another computer and travels down the backbone until it reaches the computer it is being sent to.
StarA star network has all of the computers connected via a switch. Signals are transmitted from one computer to another through the switch
RingAll computers are linked by a ring of cable. A token is passed around the ring ready to pick up data from one computer and carry it to the computer it is being sent to. A signal is then attached to the token, which goes back to the machine that sent the data.
