Commutative Property of Addition Changing the order of the values you are adding does not change the sum.
Commutative Property of Multiplication Changing the order of the values you are multiplying does not change the product.
Associative Property of Addition Changing the grouping of the values you are adding does not change the sum.
Associative Property of Multiplication Changing the grouping of the values you are multiplying does not change the product.
Additive Identity The sum of any number and zero is the original number.
Multiplicative Identitiy The product of any number and 1 is the original number.
Distributive Property To multiply a sum or difference, multiply each number within the parentheses by the number outside the parentheses.
Inverse Property of Addition The sum of an integer and its additive inverse is zero.
Inverse Property of Multiplication The product of a nonzero rational number and it's multiplicative inverse.
