Area of a Rectangle (formula) A= length x width
Area of a Parallelogram (formula) A= base x height
Area of a Triangle (formula) A= (base x height) ÷ 2
Area of an Equilateral Triangle (formula) A= (side² x √3) ÷ 4
Height of a Trapezoid The length between the two bases
Area of a Trapezoid (formula) A= (base₁ + base₂)height ÷ 2
Area of a Rhombus or Kite (formula) A= (diagonal₁ x diagonal₂) ÷ 2
Radius Distance from center to a vertex
Apothem ⊥ distance from the center to a side
Area of a Regular Polygon (formula) A= (apothem x perimeter) ÷ 2
Perimeters and Areas of Similar Figures Theorem The ratio of the perimeters is a/b. The ratio of the areas is a²/b²
Concentric Circles Circles with the same center
Semicircle 1/2 a circle
Minor Arc An arc that is smaller than a semicircle
Major Arc An arc that is greater than a semicircle
Measure of an Arc Same as central angle opposite it
Adjacent Arc Arcs on the same circle that have exactly one point in common
Congruent Arcs Arcs that have the same measure and are in the same circle or a congruent circle
Pi The ratio between all circles' circumference and diameter
Circumference of a Circle diameter × π OR 2 × π × radius
Area of a Circle A= πr²
Length of Arc (measure of arc ÷ 360) × (2πr)
Sector of a Circle A region in a circle bound by 2 radii and an arc
Area of a Sector (measure of arc ÷ 360) × (πr²)
Segment of a Circle A part of a circle bound by an arc and the segment joining its endpoints
Area of a Segment A= measure of sector - measure of triangle
Geometric Probability P(event)= Favorable area ÷ Total area
