Adding an exponent to a fraction always results in a smaller number, a negative number raised to an even power becomes positive, but a negative number raised to an odd number remains negative

square root

a number which when multiplied by itself gives the original number

multiply and divide square roots

the same as any other number

adding and subtracting square roots

you can not add or subtract square roots unless the roots are the same.

2= 1.4
3= 1.7
4= 2

When you are adding or multiplying a series of numbers, you can regroup he numbers in any way you would like
