Insertion- clavicle and scapular spine/acromion process
Action-
Upper: Cervical extension, cervical sidebending when acting unilaterally, scapular elevation and upward rotation

Lower: Scapular upward rotation and depression

Origin- Transverse processes of C1 to C4
