Proclamation of 1763 Many colonists ignored the proclamation and moved west anyway; The British sent troops to prevent the colonists form moving.

Townshend Act Colonists took part in Non-importation agreements, boycotts, wrote letters, formed Daughters of Liberty, made Liberty tea, homespun material; Non-importation agreements and boycotts hurt British merchants, merchants' pressure caused repeal in 1770 except for tea.
Tea Act Boycotted British tea, British Tea Party, brewed/drank "Liberty Tea" made from raspberry leaves; Parliament punished the colonies severely, especially Mass. with the Coercive Acts.
Coercive/Intolerable Acts Organized the First Continental Congress, wrote letters of protest, banned the trade in British goods, set up colonial militias, send aid to Boston; Britain built up its military forces specifically in Boston and throughout America.
