Electric CurrentAn electric charge in motion flowing from one place to another quickly and invisibly.
ResistanceWhen a material does not allow electric charges to flow easily through it.
Series CircuitA simple circuit where an electric charge can only flow in one path around a single loop.
Parallel CircuitA circuit in which the electric charge can follow more than one path. The main loop leaves from and returns to the power source while smaller loops along the main loop provide more paths along which the electric charge can flow.
MagnetismA force that acts on moving electric charge and magnetic materials that are near a magnet.
Magnetic FieldThe area of magnetic force around a magnet. The shape of the magnet determines the shape of the field.
ElectromagnetA temporary magnet that is made by passing an electric current through a coil of wire that surrounds a core, made stronger if the coil is wrapped around an iron core.
