| image | the picture that can be sent from mission control to the Space Station to assist th team with its work |
| data log | sheet of paper used in mission control to record data from space station experiments and other activities |
| Mission Commander | the teacher working with the crew in the Space Station |
| Mission Control | flight control station for the space station; located on Earth |
| Mission Status Monitor | the monitor which shows the task each team is working on and the time clocks |
| monitor | a screen that shows a computer activity or a video of a team at work |
| pH | the scale which measures acidity and alkalinity of a substance |
| Priority message | a message that must be sent immediately because it is very important |
| Rendezvous | the place in space where the space station and Comet Halley encounter eachother |
| simulation | acting out a space mission |
| start code | a six digit number entered into the Q-pad or keyboard when a space station crew is starting a new task |
| task card | step by step instructions for all team task; there is a set of task cards for each team in the Space Station and in Mission Control |
