| Beleaguered | Embattled; Constantly confronted with obstacles. To besige or surround with an army for the purpose of harrassment. |
| Cavalier | Unconcerned with what is consiered important. Nonchalantly engaged, especially with regard to serious matters. |
| Convivial | Amiable; given to feasting, drinking, and socializing. Festive and sociable. |
| Dissipate | To dispel by means of dispersal. To vanish or cease. |
| Encomium | Warm or glowing praise; formal tribute. |
| Fallacious | False; containing a logical error or serious misapprehension. |
| Feckless | Ineffective or feeble. lacking initiative or ability. |
| Gauche | Tactless; lacking in social refinement. |
| Holistic | Emphasizing wholeness and/or the cooperation of the constituent members of a thing. Often used to describe medical or healing practices that emphasize an organism's totality, rather than focasing exclusively on one symptom or illness. |
| Ludicrous | Absurd to the point of being laughable. Something that is obviously implausible or impractical. |
| Myopia | Inability to see close things clearly. Figuratively, to lack foresight. |
| Neophyte | A recent convert. Often refers to someone whose newfound zeal is not balanced by experiance. |
| Proverbial | Calling to mind (a familiar) proverb. Something that shows an immediate parallel with a well known saying, story, or maxim. |
| Quixotic | Hopelessly and impractically idealistic. Derived from the character Don Quixote, whose romantic view of the world is at odds with the harsh realitites of existance. |
| Reprobate | An umprincipled person. Someone who has crossed an accepted line describing morally sound behavior. |
| Sundry | Various. Can also mean "an unspecified number more then two." |
| Tenuous | Not solid (in terms of logical connection); insubstantial. Literally means "slender (as a thread)" |
| Vindicate | Proven correct or innocent despite previous indications to the contrary. To have one's name cleared after being falsely suspected of something. |
| Yahoo | A bumpkin. a primitive, brutal race identical in form to humans. |
