Phosphorylase b Inactive form, found primarily in muscle in it's T state.
Phosphorylase a Active form, found primarily in the liver in its R state.
Phosphorylase Phosphorylates glycogen which releases Glucose 1-Phosphate.
Glucose 6-Phosphatase Gluconeogenic enzyme involved in dephosphorylating glucose 6-phosphate to glucose. Important in regulating blood sugar.
Phosphoglucomutase Converts Glucose 1-Phosphate to Glucose 6-Phosphate to proceed with glycolysis.
Hers Disease Phosphorylase deficiency. Results in hepatomegaly and hypoglycemia.
I Von Gierke Disease Glucose 6-Phosphatase deficiency, none in the liver. Results in hepatomegaly, hypoglycemia, failure to thrive. Treat with starch and glucose enriched diet.
