Oligotrophic Lake Aquatic environment (usually a lake) that contains scarce amounts of nutrients and organic matter
Eutrophic Lake Lake with a large or excessive supply of plant nutrients, mostly nitrates and phosphates.
Mesotrophic Lake A lake whose nutrient levels often fall somewhere in between the two extremes.
Inland Wetland Land away from the coast, such as a swamp, marsh, or bog, that is covered all or part of the time with fresh water.
