| Technological change | is change through inventions/new technology often arises due to social problem(s), obsolescence or malfunction and can change the way people live |
| Social change | is change caused by society or people can be influenced by politics, economy, nature and social issues changes in the way people live |
| Bridging point | place where a river can be bridged or crossed usually narrowest part of the river settlements grew up aroung bridging points like Londinium |
