Aerobic A type of exercise that is cardiovascular in nature and the focus is losing fat or muscle toning
Anaerobic A type of exercise directed toward increasing muscle mass

Proprioception The awareness of an individual of posture, movement, and change in the equilibrium of the body
Sprain An injury to a joint caused by the moving of the joint, such as an ankle or knee, past its normal and safe and range of motion. With it, ligaments are stretched forcefully, causing pain
Strain An injury to a joint, similar to a sprain, except that a muscle that crosses the affected joint is injured
Strength The ability of a person to be powerful or strong in muscular flexibility
Vo2 Max Test A test done to gauge cardiovascular fitness by assessing an athlete's afficiency of oxygen consumption and cardio output. It's similar to a stress test.
Vasoconstriction the narrowing of blood vessels. When blood vessels become narrow, blood pressure increases
Vasodilation The dilation of the blood vessels in order to transport increased amounts of blood to and from a site where heat is applied. Blood flow is increased to an area of the body when heat therapy is applied
Hydrostatic testing A method of determining body fat percentages in which a client is first weighed and then submerged in a large tub of water. Once this is done, the weight of the client in water is compared to his weight out of the water
Electrical impedance testing A method of calculating body fat involving passing a low electrical current through the body and determining the resistance to the current. The amount of resistance is equal to a certain percentage of body fat
Body-fat-caliper A method of determining body fat percentages
