| Umar | He was chosen by the followers to lead after Abu Bakr died. His mission was to expand Islamic rule across the peninsula. |
| Tariq | He lead his Berber band across the Mediterranean Sea from Morocco to Spain. Within a few years, him and his army had taken over much of the Spanish peninsula. |
