Nervous System	brain, spinal cord, nerves
Brain	that part of the central nervous system that includes all the higher nervous centers
Spinal Cord	cord of nerve tissue that conducts messages between the brain and the peripheral nerves
Neuron	a cell that is specialized to conduct nerve impulses
Axon	long nerve fiber that conducts away from the cell body of the neuron
Dendrite	short fiber that conducts toward the cell body of the neuron
Endocrine Sytem	decreased production of thyroid stimulating hormone (hypothyroidism) and Decreased metabolic rate
Hormone	chemical substance secreted by endocrine glands that affect body processes
Gland	an organ of the body that secretes one or more hormones
