Caesura A pause or break in the middle of a poetry line
End Rhyme Rhyming on the last syllable of a poetic line
Rhyme Scheme The pattern of rhymes used throughout a poem
Onomatopoeia A word that is pronounced like the sound it represents (i.e. BAM, WHOOSH)
Stanza A poetic paragraph
Buildunsroman A coming of age story
