Plasma

- red blood cells and other blood cells are suspended in plasma. So it carrys the blood cells around. Contains proteins that perform a variety of function

Red blood cells

- transport oxegen. They contain a lot of hemoglobin, a protein that binds to oxegen. This is how they transport oxegen

White blood cells

- attack foren substances or organisms

platelets

- to clot up and cluster together over a wound to stop the bleeding. Wound= broken blood vessel
