Waste management	attempitng to reduce the environmental impact of MSW without reducing the amount produced.
integrated waste management	a variety of strategies for both reduction and management of waste.
Primary or closed-loop recycling	recycling where the material is converted into the same thing
secondary recycling	recycling where the material is converted into something else.
Open Dumps	Holes in the ground where people throw trash.
Sanitary landfills	Holes in the ground with protection, so as to prevent leakage, where people throw trash.
Deep well disposal	Pumping liquid waste down a well.
Environmental Justice	an ideal whereby every person is entitled to protection from environmental hazards regardless of race, gender, age, national origin, income, social class, or any political factor.
Bioremediation	an approach in which bacteria and enzymes help to destroy toxic or hazardous substances or convert them to harmless compounds.
Cradle to grave responsibility laws	laws that require companies to take back various consumer products such as electronic equipment.
