Pelvic Inflammatory Disease infection of the fallopian tubes (begins with a cervical infection and makes it's way to the fallopian tubes) AKA salpingitis

Colposcopy visual examination of the vagina and cervix with a colposcope
Cone Biopsy sugrical removal of a cone-shaped segment of the cervix for diagnosis or treatment AKA conization
Hysterosalpingography x-ray of the uterus and the fallopian tubes by injecting a contrast meaterial into the structures
Laparoscopy the process of viewing the abdominal cavity with a laparscope
Loop Electrosurgical Excision procedure used to remove abnormal cells from the surface of the cervix using a this wire loop that acts like a scalpel. An electrical current passes through the loop as it cuts away a lin layer of surface cells.
Papanicolaou (Pap) Smear diagnostic test for cervical cancer; a microscopic examination of cells scraped from within the cervix, around the cervix
Pelvimetry the process of measuring the female pelvis, manually or by x-ray, to determine its adequacy for childbearing
