archiplago

a group of islands

atoll

a small island the shape of a ring or horseshoe formed by deposits of coral sea animals

bay

a shelered part of the sea or lake formed by a curve in its shore

beach

the pebbly or sandy shore of the sea or of a lake

canal

long and narrow strip of water made for boats or for irrigation

canyon

deep and narrow valley with steep walls

cape

a strip of land projecting into a body of water

cliff

steep, high wall of rock, earth, or ice

delta

flat, low-lying land built up from soil carried downstream by a river and deposited at its mouth
