narrator | the speaker who tells the story |
first person point of view | the narrator is one of the characters in the story, uses I and/or me |
third person omniscient point of view | narrator is NOT one of the characters, knows everything in the story |
third person limited point of view | narrator is NOT one of the characters, tells story through the eyes of ONE character only |
purpose | a reason for doing something |
inform | to get information |
influence | to persuade the reader to share his/her point of view |
express | the purpose is to share emotions and/or feelings |
entertain | looking for writing that is fun to read |
