| Simile | When a person or object is said to be LIKE another or qualities of the person or object are compared to another. |
| Repetition | Repeating a single word a number of times over. |
| Expert Opinion | To make a writer's position seem more credible, they may quote the opinions of experts that correspond with thier own. |
