| Oversensing | The pacemaker senses electrical current from other muscle movements or electrical activity outside of the body as the patient"s heart electrical current |
| Pacemaker competition | Competition betwwen the pacemaker generator and the heart"s inherent rate over control of the myocardium |
| Palpitations | Fast, irregular heartbeat sensation felt by the patient, whcih may or may not be associated with with complaints of chest pain |
| Quadegeminy | Pattern in which every fourth complex is a premature beat |
| Supraventricular | An ectopic focus origination above the ventricles in the atria or junction region of the heart |
| Syncope | Condition when the patient loses consciousness (fainting) |
| Tachycardia | A fast heart rate, usually greater than 100 beats per minute |
| Trigeminy | Pattern in which every third complex is a premature beat |
