Point of view | the angle from which a story is told |
First-person point of view | when the story is being told by one of the characters in the story |

Irony | a figure of speech in which the outcome of events is the opposite of what might have been expected |

Declarative Sentence | Tells us something about a person, place or thing |

Exclamatory | Shows strong emotion or surprise |
Homonym | two words are homonyms if they are pronounced or spelled the same way but have different meanings |
Homophone | two words are homophones if they are pronounced the same way but differ in meaning or spelling or both (e.g. bare and bear) |
Homograph | two words are homographs if they are spelled the same way but differ in meaning (e.g. fair) |
Metaphor | a comparison without using like or as |
Onomatopoeia | Words that sound like what they mean |
