TermDefinition
ExpositionThe Greeks and the Trojans had a deadly war that lasted for years.
Rising Action 1The Greeks hired many first-class artists to build a huge wooden horse. Within the horse many Greek soldiers hid and when the time was right they would attack the Trojans.
Rising Action 2The Greeks sailed away, but they left behind their horse on the Trojan's soil. The Greeks hoped the Trojans would be fooled.
Rising Action 3When the Trojans made their way to the horse, the high priest insisted that the Greeks were very deceptive and he threw a spear at the horse to find out if this was a trick. Luckily for the Greeks all he heard was a strange hollow echo.
Rising Action 4Later, the Trojans found a small man named Sinon whose hands and feet were bound behind him. He lied and said, "The Greek's one great fear is that you would drag the horse into your city." So the Trojans put log rollers under the horse and dragged it into their city.
Rising Action 5After all those years the Trojans thought they had finally won the war against the Greeks, so they began to celebrate around the horse.
ClimaxSinon saw the signal from the Greeks so he made his way down to the horse. Inside the horse were many armed men, which Sinon helped out of the horse. The Greeks spilled out of the horse to fight the Trojans.
Falling ActionThe Greek army rowed to shore to help attack the city of Troy.
ResolutionThe Greeks ended up winning the war shortly after that with their surprise Trojan horse.
