The tropical monsoon climate is experienced by places located between 10 and 25 N and S of the Equator. This region includes places in Indo-China e.g. Vietnam, Myanmar, South Asia e.g. India, Sri Lanka, Western Africa, as well as northeastern and southeastern Brazil.

From Jun to Sept, the Southwest Monsoon brings heavy rain to the Indian sub-continent as the winds pick up a lot of moisture as they blow over the Indian Ocean and the Bay of Bengal.
