Robespierre He led the Reign of Terror and ironically became the Terror's last victim
Danton He was the hero of the September Massacre and a co-leader of the Reign of Terror until his execution in March of 1794
Louis XVI His execution was ordered by the National Convention; this began the Reign of Terror (also ending the monarchy)
Marat He was a radical journalist who made lists of people to be guillotined
Alexander I He was the Russian tsar during the Napoleonic Wars; he broke the Treaty of Tilsit to trade with England, causing Napoleon to send troops to Russia even though he was involved in the Penninsular Wars
Duke of Wellington He was a British general who organized his troops in Portugal during the Spanish War of Independence; this became Napoleon's first continental defeat
