self-incrimination | The act of giving testimony that can be used against oneself. Police can not force you to say something that can be used in court against you. |

due process | The goverment must follow clear rules and act reasonably as it carries out the law |
excessive | To not set high or excessive bail (money) to keep a person in jail until trial |
