hydatiform mole characterized by abnormal chorionic villi
complete mole no fetus, abnormal placenta
partial mole some fetal development, abnormal placenta
complete mole uterus large for date. a/w hyperemesis, medical complications (thyrotoxicosis, etc)
partial mole uterus normal/small for date. presents like missed abortion (vaginal bleeding). rarely a/w medical complications/progression to tumor
hydatiform mole no fetal heart action, HCG >100,000, early onset pre-eclampsia (HTN)
