Heart

a hollow muscular organ that pumps blood throughout the body

the fluid that is pumped by the heart, consists of blood cells and plasma

hollow tubes that transport blood through the body

carry blood away from the heart

carry blood from the capillaries back to the heart

inner, muscular layer of heart (middle)

Endocardium

innermost layer, smooth and same as inside blood vassel

erythrocytes

Red blood cells that transport oxygen

leukocytes

white blood cells; fight infections and are formed in the bone marrow

thrombocytes

platelets, blood-clotting cell fragments that stop bleeding
