Limit The height that a function is approaching as x approaches a given value.
Derivative Slope of a curve or slope of a tangent line.
Integral Calculated by finding the antiderivative of a function.
Velocity The first derivative of the position function. It is used to determine how fast and in what direction an object is traveling.
Position Function The function which can be used to find where an object is located at a given time
Acceleration The second derivative of the position function. It describes how the rate of change of the velocity.
First Derivative Test Used to determine where a functions graph is increasing or decreasing.
Second Derivative Test Used to determine on what intervals a function has minimum and maximum values
Concave Up Intervals in which the second derivative is positive
Concave Down Intervals on which the second derivative is negative
Point of Inflection A point on the graph of a function at which the graph changes concavity.
