Description

241-270

"un ululation = a cry, a ululation" is my definition, i looked up ululation on french websites to get context meaning.

i did the same for "le manyatta". le manyatta appears to be a ceremonial arrangement of huts in african tribes, specifically Masai perhaps.

and i changed the f in "verroferie" to "verroterie" which means "glass jewellery"

btaller8 : Changed drained → (il) s'égouttait to to drain → s'égoutter (égoutter. can be reflexive or not) ((il) s'égouttait, is what she has in the packet)
btaller8 : for some reason, andrew, for this one; s'egoutter, it wouldn't "ignore whats in parenthesis" when i had more than 1 set of parenthesis, so it was wrong about 7 times, even though i was getting the word itself right. after i removed all extra sets of parenthesis, it worked again.
btaller8 : changes les gencives, and ebreche
WillMullaney : Changed buffalo → le buffle to the buffalo → le buffle
WillMullaney : Changed ceremonial circle of 49 huts → le manyatta to the ceremonial circle of 49 huts → le manyatta
Jenkins : Changed the glass jewellery → la verroterie to the glass jewelry → la verroterie
Jenkins : Changed chipped → ébréché to chipped → ébréché (e,s)
KevinFace : Changed chipped → ébréché (e,s) to ébréché (e, s) → chipped
KevinFace : Changed a grimace → un rictus (different from "le rictus" i don't think so, but i'm not sure) to un rictus → a grimace
KevinFace : Changed to drain → s'égoutter (égoutter. can be reflexive or not. il s'égouttait, is what she has in the packet) to s'égoutter → to drain
LaFontaine : Just to clarify, les gencives refers to gums as in "when you get old your gums start to recede" not as in "let's take the resin from those gum trees and make chewing gum"
LaFontaine : What! le coutelas has been changed from a large knife to a cutlass. Those two things are not at all equivalent. A cutlass is a relatively short sword which is slightly curved that was used by sailors to take out enemies when boarding another ship or to defend ones own vessel. Their size and shape are perfect for combat on a ship's deck as they provide much more manouverability than a regular sword which would get stuck in a mast or get tangled in the rigging.
btaller8 : umm, yea, who changed le coutelas
btaller8 : please leave a comment when you make big changes
