Perfect Tense | a tense of verb that refers to something that has already been completed |
Irregular Verb | verbs that change when changing tenses |
Regular Verb | follows the pattern of taking -ed for the past simple and past participle |
Independent Clause | A clause in a complex sentence that contains at least a subject and a verb and can stand alone syntactically as a complete sentence |
Dependent Clause | clause that cannot stand alone as a full sentence and functions as a noun, adjective, or adverb within a sentence |
Coordinating Conjunction | conjunction that connects two grammatical elements of identical construction |
Clause | a syntactic construction containing a subject and predicate and forming part of a sentence or constituting a whole simple sentence |
Phrase | a sequence of two or more words arranged in a grammatical construction and acting as a unit in a sentence |
