Geography The study of the Earth and the ways people live and work on it.
Interdependence A relationship between people whom rely on each other or between people and the environment.
Uniform Region A consistent pattern throughout an area.
Absolute Location Precise measurement of a place on a globe.
Longitude Meridians.
Subsistence Farming Producing enough goods to support yourself and family with little to no surplus
Pop. Distribution How the population spread out amongst the inhabitable areas within a particular country.

Leap Year Time period that compensates for miss tracked time.
Time Zone 1 time zone is 15 degrees of longitude.
Map A symbolic representation of Earth or a part of the Earth down to scale on a flat piece of paper.
Map Projection A way to represent the round Earth on a flat piece of paper.
Map Distortion Inaccuracy on a map projection.
Climate Weather patterns that are typical over a long period of time.
Developing Country Countries in the process of becoming industrialized.
Sustainable Development Economic development without polluting the environment
Literacy Rate The amount of people that can read and write.
Equinox Twice a year when Earth's tilt corrects itself to 0 degrees.
Prevailing Winds Winds In a region that blow in a fairly constant directional pattern.
Solstice Earth is at it's maximum tilt at exactly 23.5 degrees.
Latitude Parallels.
Currents Caused by the rotation of the Earth; warm/cold "rivers" in the ocean that flow in a circular pattern.
Rotation The Earth rotates on it's axis once every 24 hours to create a day.
Industry Any business that produces goods or services.
GDP The market value of final goods and services produced in any particular year within a country.
Chaparral Found in Mediterranean climates.
Developed Country Produce great quantities of goods and services and employ many workers in industries.
Pop. Growth Rate Determined by how many births per 1,000 people vs. how many deaths per 1,000 people.
