Isaac Newton	English mathematician and physicist that studied gravity
Edwin Hubble	proved that other galaxies existed beyond the edge of the Milky Way
Ptolemy	ancient scientist who said earth was the center of the universe
Copernicus	Developed the first modern theory of a sun-centered universe
