Poseidon Symbol: The sea Power: He could cause storms at sea, or prevent them. Lived in the bottom of the sea.
Hades Symbol: The dead Power: he presided over the trial and punishment of of people who had commited evil.
Apollo Symbol: Truth & Light Power: He ruled the sun, brought spring and summer. Was loved the most by the greeks. Could not tell a lie. Spread happiness with pottery and music.
Athena Symbol: Warefare and Wisdom Power: defended goodness in the world. She fought evil. She turned her enemies into stone.
Ares Symbol: War Power: he was the God of war, he started a lot of wars because he loved being cruel to people.
Hera Symbol: women and marriage Power: she protected women during childbirth. She was very jealous of other women who persued her husband.
Hermes Symbol: Messenger and Movement Power: He was the messenger of the gods. Had a good and bad side. Also known as the God of sleep and dreams.
Dementer Symbol: mother earth(bundle of wheat) Power: watched over the planting and harvesting of grain and grapes.
Aphrodite Symbol: love & beauty Power: no skils other than the abilty to make men fall in love with her. Women feared her because underneath her beauty was a vain and evil woman.
Eros Symbol: The pain of love Power: He was the God of love, shot arrows into people's hearts to make them THINK they were in love. Known mostly by his roman name, Cupid.
Dionysus Symbol: Wine & Merrymaking Power: He ruled the animals. He rode a tiger-RAWR(:- was folish and wild.
