# Volume, (Lateral) Surface Area, and Area

## 17 terms · Just some theories we have learned in Geometry so far this past semester.

### Lateral Surface Area of a Right Prism

LSA = P•h
P is the perimeter or circumference of the base, h is the height

### Lateral Surface Area of a Cylinder

LSA = P•h
P is the perimeter or circumference of the base, h is the height

### Lateral Surface Area of a Right Pyramid

LSA = ½PL
P is the perimeter or circumference of the base, L is the slant height

### Lateral Surface Area of a Cone

LSA = ½PL
P is the perimeter/circumference of the base, L is the slant height

TSA u² = LSA + B

### Volume of a Prism

V = Bh
B = Area of a base, h = height

### Volume of a Cylinder

V = Bh
B = Area of a base, h = height

### Volume of a Rectangular Prism (A.K.A. box)

V = Bh
B = Area of a base, h = height

V = s³

### Volume of a Pyramid

1/3V = Bh
B = Area of a base, h = height

### Volume of a Cone

V = 1/3Bh
B = Area of a base, h = height

### Area of a Square

A = s²
s = length of any side of the square

### Area of a Rectangle

A= L• W
L = length, W = width

### Area of a Kite

A = (d₁ + d₂) ÷ 2
d = length of diagonal one, d* = length of diagonal two

### Area of a Triangle

A = ½Bh
B = length of base segment, h = height

### Area of a Trapezoid

A = (b₁+b₂)÷2•h
b₁ = length of one parallel side, b₂ = length of other parallel side, h = height

A = Bh
