stitch width knob | adjusts the width of two-dimensional stitches such as a zigzag wave, or overlock stitches |
needle position knob | used to set the needle in a left, center, or right |
stitch length knob | controls the number of stitches per inch. |
bobbins | are small round spools made of metal or plastic. these are used to hold the bobbin tread which will appear on the underside of the fabric after stitching |
bobbin case | is located under the needle plate. it holds the bobbin and had adjustable tension for the bobbin thread |
needle | thread is placed throught the eye of the needle through the front. the needle takes the thread down through the needle plate to from stitches |
thread spool holder | holds the spool of thread while you stitch, and allows the thread to feed evenly |
presser foot lever | raises and lowers the presser foot into position |
