| "The Wrathful" | Circle 5; people who are always angry and aggressive and shut themselves out from the world |

| Punishment of the Wrathful | Souls are trapped in the muck (River of Styx) and are violently attacking each other |
| Filippo Argenti | Dante's worst enemy; Dante jumps him and curses him out in Circle 5 |

| "The Fraudulent" | Circle 8; Shaped like an arena w/ 10 ditches of torture; people who are deceptive reside here. |
| Panderers and Seducers | Modern day pimps. Endlessly driven like cattle by demons and whips |
| Flatterers | People telling you what you want to hear. Kept in a sewer/ river of waste |
| Simonicas | Priests and clergy, taken money for office positions. Turned upside down in a hole w/ their toes on fire |
| Fortune Tellers | Heads turned twisted around and were forced to walk backwards. |
| Grafters | Covered in sludgy yuck while being tormented by demons |
| Hypocrites | Wear heavy robes and walk in circles |
| Thieves | Covered in snakes coiling around them; when tight they burst into flames |
| Evil Counselors | Consumed in a raging fire |
| Sowers of Discord | "Home Wreckers"/ "Hoes"; Bodies are torn apart devils and walk around in their remaining parts |
| Falsifiers | Viciously beat each other and tormented with disease, hunger, and stench |
