What is polar air mass? Air mass that forms over cold regions
What is a tropical air mass? Air mass that forms over warm regions
What are air masses that form over water called? maritime (moist)
What is a cold front? Forward edge of a cold air mass, formed when a cold air mass pushes under a warm air mass
What is a front? Surface between different air masses
What is a warm front? Forward edge of a warm air mass, formed when a warm air mass pushes over a cold air mass
What is a hurricane? Tropical storm with very strong winds
What are thunderstorms? A storm with thunder, lightning, heavy rain, and strong winds
What is a tornado? A small, very violent funnel-shaped storm
What is lightning? A giant storm cloud that gives off electricity
