Inspection

General Appearance - posture, mannerisms, grooming, gait, visible injuries, deformities, tremors, rashes.

Palpation

Felt with hands - determine conditions of organs

Percussion

tapping or striking body, listening and feeling.

Auscultation

uses stethoscope to listen to sounds from the body. Lungs, heart, abdomen.

Mesuration

The process of measuring - height, weight, length, size and length of wound.

Manipulation

forceful, passive movement of a joint. ROM
