Areas are key localities or aspects of the terrain within a commander's operational environment that are not normally thought of as militarily significant.
Structures are existing civil structures that take on many significant roles. such as bridges, commo towers, power plants, churches, mosques, hospitals, jails, warehouses, schools, tv and radio stations which maybe useful for military purposes
Capabilitiesmay refer to several perspectives: 1)existing capabilities of the populace to sustain itself, such as public admin.,emergency services, food and agricultural systems. 2) capabilities with the populace needs assistance, such as public works and utilities, public health. 3) resources and services that can be contracted to support the military mission, such as interpreters, laundry services, materials.
Organizations are organized groups that may or may not be affiliated with government agencies. They can be church groups, fraternal org.,service org., may be IGO's or NGo's
People includes civilians or nonmilitary personnel encountered in an AO. May also extend to those outside the AO whose actions, opinions, or political influence can affect the military mission.
Events can include many things, planting and harvest seasons, elections, riots, and evacuations.
