1John 2:3 ¶ Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.
1John 2:4 He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
1John 2:5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.

1John 3:5 And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin.
1John 3:6 Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.

1John 4:7 ¶ Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
